Cabin Fever at Artcore

Cabin Fever at Artcore

We have selected the first two artists for our Cabin Fever residency: Nicki Dennett and Dan Webber. Nicki is a printmaker who likes to mix images and text together to create a story across a series of prints. Dan is an award-winning LGBTQ+ poet, producer, events co-ordinator and promoter.

Nicki and Dan will be taking part in a social media takeover in the lead up to their residency – follow our social media for updates.

Working in partnership with Derby City Council, we have invited artists to propose projects and activities during a residency in a cabin situated on Onsabruck Square in Derby's city centre. As a series of 1 month long residences over the duration of 6 months, two artists will have the opportunity to test out ideas and make new work, responding to the theme of isolation and confinement.

We are still accepting applications from artists, makers and producers for our residency Cabin Fever. We are looking for artists who will creatively engage members of the public, run public workshops and celebrate Derby's people and communities.
