Buxton Festival Fringe: Nana and Nunu – The Big Sneeze!

The Pavilion Arts Centre Studio Theatre will be welcoming some very special guests this summer when Dame for a Laugh present their all-new children’s musical Nana and Nunu – The Big Sneeze! from Wednesday 22nd July to Saturday 25th July.

Collaborating with Stitches and Glue, the master puppet makers behind hits such as Elephantom and The Light Princess (National Theatre), as well as countless TV, stage and screen projects, Nana and her cuddly pink aardvark Nunu come to Buxton fresh from their world premiere at Fairfield Halls, Croydon earlier this year.

When Nunu the friendly aardvark gets the sneezes on his birthday, Nana must venture across snow, sky and sea to track down a magical flower with the power to stop an aardvark's achoo. With a little help from grandchildren Jake and Sophie, Nana and Nunu meet a host of colourful characters as they journey around the world in this forty-five minute musical adventure.

This fun show, full of imagination and storytelling follows on from Dame for a Laugh’s successful Easter pantomime Sleeping Beauty, staged at the Secombe Theatre, Sutton in April 2014. Bringing together a whole host of interesting characters and imaginative designs, Nana and Nunu’s adventure will be brought to life by a talented cast of four, taking families and children aged 3+ on a magical adventure of discovery and friendship.
