Mixed media textile artist creating original artworks, jewellery and cards. Originally from Derbyshire, Susan relocated to Aberdeenshire in 2020. With a love of the outdoors, nature, wildlife, sunrises, sunsets and the night sky, she has found plenty of inspiration from the abundance of stunning skies just outside her studio doors. Susan uses a variety of materials and techniques to add colour and texture to fabric, resulting in vibrant and tactile artworks. She uses machine stitching to enhance the colours and create texture and heat tools to further manipulate, texturise and seal. In a bid to be sustainable, Susan uses any remaining fabric to make jewellery and greetings cards.
