Derby Book Festival was first held in 2015. We have two great programmes of events each year. This year, for the first time ever, we are holding three shorter Festivals throughout the year:

Spring: 29 February - 4 March
Summer: 30 May - 4 June
Autumn: 15 - 18 November

We pride ourselves on offering something for everyone, so please do check the website to view the full programme and book tickets. The latest information is available via our website, social media, or by signing up to our newsletter.

We have a strong community programme, which includes our Shared Reading project which use books, words and poetry to support health and well-being. We work with a range of settings, including care homes with groups organised in-person and online. We also work with young asylum seekers and refugees.

We have a strong schools programme working with primary and secondary schools in the city who join us for our annual Meet the Author events. We also organise the Derby Children's Picture Book Award each year and engage with Years 2 and 3 in primary schools.
