The Arkwright Society owns and manages Cromford Mills, near Matlock. We are a local charity which relies on fundraising and our own income generation to continue to maintain, manage and restore Cromford Mills, a heritage site of world importance, and which is part of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site.
As a way of raising funds, attracting visitors and encouraging membership we organise a series of events, talks and activities for the general public plus exclusive talks and off site visits for our Membership Group.
