April Young at Gormleys Art in Garden Exhibition

Gormleys Art In Garden Exhibition will host some of the greatest names in the Art world including Salvador Dali.
April's work will be displayed alongside these incredible pieces of surrealist sculpture to be appreciated by visitors from around the world.
The full pictorial representation of the exhibition will be available to see online from Sunday 19th May.
Please do take a look and see how wonderful April's work is viewed out in the wonderful Irish parklands.

Derventio arts project events at Derby Book Festival and Haarlem Artspace

Out of the Box is part of a three-year arts programme working with people at Derventio Housing Trust’s Growing Lives project in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.

 

From generously shared personal stories, artist Jan Flamank condensed gentle conversations into haiku-style poems, using only people’s own words. The poems are presented alongside personal photographs in a book and a display of small boxes. The project gives a glimpse into the real lives of local people who have been through tough times.

Singing star goes from saint to sinner

Rising opera star Samantha Clarke has gone from saint to sinner for her latest leading role.

London-born but raised in Australia and South Africa, Samantha is taking the lead role in Buxton International Festival’s world premiere of Georgiana, about the life and loves of the wife of the Fifth Duke of Devonshire who fascinated and scandalised high society in Georgian England.

BAT has 80 at Fringe40!

The BAT team has received a record breaking 80 entries for its award-winning Art Trail to take place during the 40th Fringe Festival. WE ARE OFFICIALLY 80 at FRINGE40!

Applications have poured in for Buxton Art Trail which will return during the first weekend of the Fringe40 on Saturday July 6 and Sunday July 7.

The fifth trail, BAT2019: The Buxton Biennale is set to make a big contribution to celebrate Buxton Fringe’s 40th year.
