Start your Christmas celebrations with Hayfield Singers!

Get your Christmas off to a harmonious start by enjoying a mix of traditional and modern seasonal music performed by Hayfield Singers at St Matthew’s Church, Hayfield on Sunday 8th December at 7.30pm.

This year the Choir’s annual Christmas concert offers a wide variety of arrangements to suit all tastes and which is certain to leave its audience in the mood for the festive season ahead.

Musical Director, Simon Mercer, said: “This is an engaging mix of traditional, modern and occasionally pithy seasonal music by composers spanning the 18th to 21st centuries.

A Christmas Song - Opera Gala - Saturday December 21st 2019

Lucy McAuley, Jevan McAuley and Natalie Burch are delighted that ‘A Christmas Song’ will be returning this December for another festive gathering at The Florence Nightingale Hall in Holloway on December 21st.

Lucy is originally from Holloway, and moved to London in 2010 to study to become an opera singer at The Guildhall School where she met her husband, Jevan McAuley. 

Since their last ‘A Christmas Song’ concert in 2017, Lucy has been singing at Glyndebourne as part of the Summer festival, and is now with them on their UK tour.

Open Studios Art & Craft Fair at Long Eaton Art Room

Long Eaton Art Room are holding their Festive Craft Fair and winter open studios event on Saturday 16th November and Sunday 17th November 10am-4pm each day

This year will be as big as ever with over 30 stalls.  The perfect place to find locally handmade Christmas gifts.

Chesterfield Co-operative Choral Society "Christmas Concert"

On Friday December 20th Spital Arts are delighted to host another wonderful Christmas evening with the Chesterfield Co-operative Choral Society.

This excellent choir, who elebrated their 80th anniversary in 2017, will present a selection of Festive music celebrating feasts, dances and song. There will be something to suit everyone's tastes, including the famous Spital Arts Christmas food !

The evening starts at 7.30pm with doors at 7.00pm at

Grey Skies, Stormy Skies and Samphire...

We've just taken delivery of a new group of Thomas Petit's Glass. Thomas is a Derbyshire artist, blowing glass in his studio in Lumsdale, birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. You can read more about him here or click the image to see his range of work.
