Art from Ruth Gray - Festive Plumbing, Exhibitions, and Shows

It is been a busy month I've had some amazing commissions and sales and I'm loving how my work has been framed by my client. It has really made me rethink my own framing choices.

New paintings of Derbyshire by Mark Preston

We have a new group of paintings in the gallery by Mark Preston. These are all of Derbyshire, painted en plein air throughout 2019, reflecting the seasonal diversity of the Derbyshire Peak District.

Mark usually works in situ, spending very little time painting in his studio. Influenced by the great English painter John Constable, Mark has been known to remain out of doors at his easel from dawn until dusk working directly from nature, whatever the weather.
