WellRehearsed is a new app developed jointly with the Association of British Choral Conductors (ABCD) and Making Music UK. It’s available to download for free by Android and Apple users, and has been developed as a quick, simple-to-use risk management tool for amateur music groups, choral or instrumental, across the UK.
This summer sees the return of GNCCFonline, an opportunity to buy unique and exceptional contemporary craft direct from 120 specially selected makers over the weekend of 17-18 July.
When the pandemic forced the cancellation of the much loved Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fairs in 2020, the show organisers embraced the digital revolution and with a defiant ‘the show must go on’ spirit, launched the GNCCFonline with the aim of supporting independent makers.

To mark the opening of the Derby Market Place marquee on Thursday 26th June, The Mayor of Derby is to host a charity event with performances by the Fairly Famous Family’s “Just In Case” and The Lost Boys.

City arts organisations in Derby are working with pupils at special education needs (SEND) schools across Derby on an ambitious multi-media creative project entitled Reimagine.
In the initial stages, the creative team from Derby-based Orchestra Sinfonia Viva has been working with young people from St Giles’ and St Andrew’s schools to write and produce songs on the theme of friendship.
Young people are being sought to take part in a song writing workshop for Derbyshire libraries.
The project ‘Derbyshire Sings’ is funded by Arts Council England as part of its Lottery Grants programme.
Our library service successfully bid for just over £7,500 so that it could provide an opportunity for existing library customers to be involved in the creation of a song about libraries, and what the library means to them.
