Exhibition by Local Nude Portrait Artist to challenge Instagram Body Perfect Culture!

Local artist, Antonia Jolley, is hosting her first solo exhibition ‘Every Body’ at The Trinity from 22nd – 24th October showcasing her incredible art which centres around all body types, and celebrates the human body in all its forms.

After graduating with a first class honours in Fine Art last year, Antonia Jolley has spent the last year painting the torso of over 120 models across the gender spectrum, to show how amazing and beautiful the human body is, in all it’s different shapes and sizes.

The Phillip Barker Centre, based at University of Chester, are looking for six different artists or creative practitioners with significant experience in socially-engaged, community and participatory arts practice to be involved in delivering an interactive webinar in your chosen area that inspires change.

Join the virtual Matlock Storytelling Cafe, every first Friday of the month

A night of Storytelling for grown ups. The Matlock Storytelling Cafe event brings people together once a month on the first Friday to share stories and tellers from near and far.

In normal circumstances, the event takes place every first Friday at the Imperial Rooms in Matlock, but due to the pandemic, the storytelling cafe has moved online and so that you can zoom the session to your front room!

Derby BIDs Present Ram Trail Prize Draw Vouchers

Derby’s Cathedral Quarter and St Peters Quarter Business Improvement Districts (BID) have announced the winners of a prize draw organised as part of their involvement with this summer’s Derby Ram Trail.

The BIDs offered two winners the chance to win £100 each in vouchers to spend in their favourite city centre shops. Anyone who had spent £5 or more in a Cathedral Quarter or St Peters Quarter business was invited to enter the prize draw.
