Additional tickets released for Christmas at Chatsworth

As we are increasingly confident that new Covid restrictions will not be necessary in 2021, we are pleased to announce that we have released a limited number of additional tickets for Christmas at Chatsworth. These tickets are available now!

Join us as we celebrate 20 magical years of Christmas at Chatsworth this festive season.

Please note that we are unable to alter existing bookings.

Junction Arts: Book your lantern workshop!

Come along and create your very own willow and tissue paper lantern for this years Bolsover Lantern Parade.

This year we are operating a booking system to ensure social distancing and a safe number of people at workshops. There is a morning and afternoon session, we recommend that people book no more than two sessions to allow others opportunity.

Young Chesterfield musicians' grants

Young people, schools or other organisations in Chesterfield are able to apply for grants to help them continue and develop their music making

Thanks to a bequest from a local resident, Derbyshire County Council is offering individual grants of up to £500 for those aged 5 to 18, and grants of up to £2,000 for schools and other organisations operating in Chesterfield.

Hubbub's Autumn Gathering

Hubbub are celebrating their actors, participants and community being back together by hosting an Autumn Gathering, and they would love for you to join us! 

The event is taking place at Deda, Chapel Street, Derby, DE1 3GU on Friday 22nd October between 1.30pm and 7pm.

Art Share and ArtStand unite for Autumn Community Art Sharing, Exhibition and Art Sale

The weekend of 16th & 17th October sees the welcome return of the Autumn Community Art Sharing presented by Art Share Crich at The Glebe Field Centre. 

Alongside this there will be for the second year running an Exhibition and Art sale by artists in the ArtStand collective. 

The two groups were so pleased with the success of their joint event last October, that they have decided to do it all over  again  this year but this time even bigger!

Following the huge success of the Derby Ram Trail this summer, Derby Museums - the trail’s principal organiser - is pleased to share news about 15 of the rams, which have remained in the public realm for people to enjoy. 

Get ready for the big Christmas lights switch on

Festive Derby comes back to light next month with the return of a live stage show at a new city centre location to mark the official Christmas lights switch on.

This year, all the action will happen on a bespoke stage outside the Council House in Corporation Street on Saturday 13th November, due to the ongoing programme at the Derby Loves You venue at Derby Market Place.

Derby’s Parks have been awarded Green Flag status

Six of Derby’s city parks have been recognised as being among the best in the world by the Green Flag Award Scheme. The parks achieving this international quality mark status are, Derby Arboretum, Alvaston, Chaddesden, Darley, Sunnydale and Markeaton Park. As the scheme marks its Silver Jubilee, Derby’s Parks are part of the 2,127 celebrating success today.

OMEETO Secures New Ilkeston Base For National Charity

Commercial property consultants OMEETO have secured the lease on an Ilkeston town centre property to enable a national charity to forge ahead with its expansion plans and support more people impacted by suicide.

OMEETO acted on behalf of property landlords Ilkeston Joinery to finalise the lease on the single storey offices on the corner of New Lawn Road and Wharncliffe Road which will be the new national office for Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide.
