From 1 - 31 October the world’s biggest celebration of the humble pencil will connect disastrous drawers and doodling superstars from across the globe, for #LivingLines17
The 2017 Festival theme, Living Lines: An Animated Big Draw Festival, aims to unite pixels, pencils and people from across the globe to learn, experiment and bring ideas to life through drawing and animation. Living Lines will explore the long history of people finding ways to create moving images; from pre-film animation devices such as Zoetropes, to the most cutting edge digital drawing and animation technologies. Events will host masters of animation, but organisers and participants do not need to have any animation experience themselves.

This year is all about your marks in motion! Interpreted broadly by our amazing 2017 organisers, #LivingLines17 encompasses everything from dance, sculpture in motion, hand drawn and stop motion animation, making your own GIFs and memes and behind it all is the magic of drawing!
