CHRISTMAS WREATH MAKING WORKSHOPS

10am -12 noon or 2pm – 4pm

Location: Winster Room

Cost: £18 Limited places, advance booking essential.

Come and join one of our Christmas Wreath making workshops. Bring a friend or two and enjoy a festive couple of hours making your own unique Christmas wreath.

Instruction and materials provided to make your own festive wreath using florist block, holly and natural materials. You may wish to bring your own additions such as baubles and other festive items.

Please bring secateurs and gloves if you have them.

Please note that the Winster room is on the second floor and unfortunately there is no lift.

Advanced booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.

Saturday 8th - Sunday 9th December

CHRISTMAS AT CROMFORD MILLS

Time: 10am-4pm

Location: Cromford Mills, Mill Yard

Cost: FREE ENTRY (There is a small charge for some activities)

Get into the spirit of Christmas with Cromford Mills Christmas Weekend. 

We have lots of fun activities for all the family. Father Christmas will be visiting both days (11am-3pm), we have a Community Christmas Tree Trail, Christmas Makers Market, Christmas Tree sale, Woodies Wings will be here with their owls and parrots, there will be live music, including Wirksworth Community Orchestra on Saturday (from 1pm),Hazy horse mobile bar, mulled wine, mince pies and lots of other treats.

Come and join our elves in their workshop for a variety of Christmas crafts and challenges – earn your elf certificate!

CROMFORD MILLS CHRISTMAS MARKET

Time: 10am-4pm

Location: Mill Yard

Cost: Free Entry

This weekend we will be holding our CROMFORD MILLS CHRISTMAS MARKET. A variety of talented local artists and makers will be showcasing their wares. Come and find that extra special Christmas gift you’ve been looking for!

There will be lots of Christmas activities going on - FUN FOR EVERYONE!

KNIT AND NATTER

Time: 10am-12 noon

Location: Arkwright’s Café

FREE ENTRY

Join us for a morning of knitting and nattering. This drop-in session is suitable for anyone who wants to knit, learn to knit or just fancies a chat.

Thursday 20th December

CHRISTMAS AFTERNOON TEA

Time: 12noon – 2pm

Location: Wheatcroft’s Wharf Cafe

Cost: £14.99 per person (please book in advance)

Indulge in a festive afternoon tea at Cromford Mills. Festive finger sandwiches, scone and cream, mini mince pie, fruit cake, angel sparkle cake – all served with warm spiced orange juice and tea or coffee.

ARKWRIGHT SPINSTERS

Time: 11am-4pm

Location: Gothic Warehouse

FREE ENTRY

The Arkwright Spinsters will be demonstrating spinning and fibre crafting and sharing their skills. Bring your own spinning wheel and learn to spin or learn with group equipment by prior arrangement.

CHRISTMAS DINNER IN ARKWRIGHT’S CAFÉ

Time: 5:45pm-7:15pm

Location: Arkwright’s Café

Cost: £22.50 (please book in advance)

Come and enjoy a delicious four course festive dinner before the carol service at St Mary's Church. Join us for a Christmas Dinner in Arkwright's Cafe and then wassail by lantern light to St Mary's Church for a carol service and selection of readings at 7.30pm.

CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE

Time: 7:15pm-8:30pm

CAROL SERVICE AT ST MARY’S CHURCH

Location: Meet in the mill yard

Cost: FREE ENTRY (donations welcome)

Wassail by lantern light to St Mary’s Church for a carol concert and selection of readings at 7:30pm. The service will be followed by refreshments including festive punch and cake. Bring a torch or battery-operated lantern and come along in Georgian costume if you wish.
