Stroppy Workshoppy Fun with Babbling Vagabonds

Little princes and princesses can look forward to plenty of fun during the October half term with the Babbling Vagabonds. The theatre company will be holding Stroppy Workshoppy workshops from Monday 23 to Saturday 28 October at two different locations in the city.

Stroppy Workshoppies are make, play and take puppet making workshops for princes, princesses and their families, with a theme of vile villains and unlikely heroes. The Babbling Vagabonds are looking for help to conjure up a gallery of the vilest villains to have ever walked the world and a selection of heroes of the unlikeliest order.

Children will learn how to turn their creations into brilliant puppets to take part in a parade of baddies and goodies and then they can take their puppets home to play.

The workshops are designed to tie in with the Christmas show taking place at the Guildhall Theatre this December – Prince Stroppy Pants and the Christmas Caper – and give families a chance to be creative together and find out more about the show.

Stroppy Workshoppies will be taking place at Markeaton Park Craft Village Community Room from Monday 23 to Wednesday 25 October, and at the Guildhall Theatre Clubrooms from Thursday 26 to Saturday 28 October. The workshop costs £4.50 to attend, or two children can attend for £8. Groups of 3 or more cost £3.50 each and up to 2 adults can attend free with a child. Tickets can be purchased through the Derby LIVE Box Office on 01332 255800 or on derbylive.co.uk. They can also be purchased at the Sales and Information Centre, on the Market Place, Derby, DE1 3AH.
