Spring into Shape this April!

Springtime is here, and it’s the perfect time to get up and active again. This spring cleaning season In Derby is here to help the people of Derby focus on their wellbeing, from a half price Derby Active membership to Derby’s first ever Walking Festival, now is the season to spring into shape.

Derby Active are putting a spring in people’s steps this April with the Spring Into Shape Health and Fitness Offer for 2 months of full membership, with gym, swim and classes for half price. New members across Derby Arena, Springwood Leisure Centre and Queen’s Leisure Centre who join in April as a full member will get the first two months of their membership at half price. A full membership with Derby Active will help anyone and everyone spring into shape, with access to three gyms, swimming at Queen’s Leisure Centre and over 100 classes and Wattbike sessions. Derby Active is making it as easy as possible to spring back into shape this April with no joining fee, no contract, a free induction and consultation with qualified and friendly gym instructors and all across three facilities throughout the city.

This May will see Derby’s first ever Walking Festival, a celebration of walking and walks throughout the city. As the weather brightens, there’s no better place to get fit and moving than out in the sunshine. At Derby Walking Festival, which will be running from Saturday 18 to Sunday 26 May, there will be fascinating heritage, suburban and urban strolls with the chance to get fit, enjoy some fresh air and meet new people. Make the most of the spring weather out on Allestree Golf Course, one of the most picturesque golfing venues in the Midlands. This spring may be the perfect time to pick up a new hobby, and a golf club with Allestree Golf Course’s Unlimited Golf. Annual Season Ticket holders can play golf any day, any time, seven days a week for a whole year for less than £9 a week. As we enter the season of the new, it may be time to try out a new sport and give track cycling a go. Anyone can enjoy the ride on Derby Arena’s cycle track and explore a new way to get fit, have fun and make friends in a whole new way. Markeaton Park is welcoming something new this spring with a brand new Mini Golf course.
