Midland Lead Named International Business of The Year 2020

Midland Lead is absolutely thrilled to announce that we have been named International Business of the Year at the East Midlands FSB Awards 2020.

The FSB Awards ceremony took place at King Power Stadium where finalists from all over the East Midlands gathered. Midland Lead fought off fierce competition to be awarded the accolade of International Business of the Year 2020.

Midland Lead was applauded for their work overseas and they clearly demonstrated to the judges why they are the ‘experts in export’. Anton Gunter, Managing Director of Global Freight Services who sponsored the award, said: “We would like to congratulate the team at Midland Lead for winning this award. The family-run company has demonstrated continued growth and innovation over the years and has fast become a leading UK exporter. Midland Lead is a shining light for businesses across the East Midlands and we wish them well as they continue to build and strengthen their international client base.”

Boudewijn Tuinenburg, Managing Director, is delighted to be announced as winner; “We work with organisations from many sectors all over the world. Receiving this award is a testament to how our export team is dedicated to building relationships with customers, wherever they are.

“I am so proud of our team and how far we have come together. The past few years our group export strategy has been to focus on specific markets, such as Africa and UAE. Earlier this year we exhibited at the biggest healthcare event in the Middle East and North Africa region, Arab Health 2020 where we shared our product range and expertise in radiation protection.”

Dave Woolley, Business Development Manager for Export added: “What a great achievement for Midland Lead to be crowned International Business of the Year. Our work in developing the export market is focussed around service and we work closely with customers to tailor our product to meet their individual needs.

“From Hong Kong to Tanzania, we supply a range of lead-based products and very often the logistics can be challenging, and our customers have come to rely on us to advise and manage the fine detail of customs procedures. Congratulations also to the other finalists in this category, it’s so good to be alongside such leading lights in international trade.”
