Live & Local – Surprising Shows in Surprising Places

Ashley Hutchings, the Guv’nor of Folk-Rock and founder of Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span and The Albion Band will be in Doveridge on Saturday 10th October.

In his show,  ‘From Psychedelia to Sonnets, Ashley Hutchings will be recounting his life in the world of Folk-Rock, with song lyrics, poetry and more, from his book ‘Words, Words’ Words’.  He will be supported by guest female singers/musicians, to complete a great evening’s entertainment.

The show starts at 7.30 p.m. at Doveridge Village Hall, Sand Lane, Doveridge (DE6 5JQ).  Doors open at 7.00 p.m.

Tickets, priced at just £10, including a light supper, or £9 for the show only, are available from the Doveridge Stores and Post Office, or Tracey Chidlow on 01889 567461.  There will also be a bar and raffle.  Doveridge Village Hall is a fully accessible venue, with all rooms on the ground floor.
