Katapult Collaborates with The Family Arts Campaign Sharing A Theme Park-Inspired Homeschooling Workbook

Global themed attraction and experience design company, Katapult, have launched a theme park-inspired homeschooling workbook, for kids aged 7+ currently studying under Lockdown.

‘Become A Theme Park Designer’ was developed to help children stay creative while schools are closed due to the pandemic, and also provide teachers, parents and carers with an additional resource to teach English, Maths and Art.

The free-to-download workbook provides children with a template to create their own theme park and even design their own rides. Activities around researching a target market and creating a budget and plan are also included in the workbook.

Katapult have chosen to collaborate with The Family Arts Campaign and Derby Family Arts Network to ensure that the workbook reaches as many families as possible not only across Derby but nationally via the Fantastic for Families website.

Speaking on the launch of the Workbook, CEO & Co-Founder, Dawn Foote said: “This year Katapult turns 20, and we will be doing a number of things to celebrate. With this workbook we want to inspire the next generation of creative minds to consider a career in the leisure and attractions industry - hopefully this Workbook helps to do just that, but also provide some much needed creative stimulus for children, and respite for teachers and parents in the short term too.”

Katapult are also running a competition to find the best theme park designs created using the Workbook. Children have the chance to win a Katapult hamper of goodies. Entries close on Sunday 4th April 2021.
