Join the new #FSBConnect Derby Networking group - 19 November

Join like-minded Derbyshire business people to chat business and get involved in a friendly and supportive business network, open to all whether you're a start-up or established business, FSB Member or non-member. This event is supported by University of Derby and the Co-Operative Bank and a representative from each will be on hand to chat about business engagement.

Agenda:

10.00am arrivals with refreshments, welcome and networking, round the room business showcase and what you're looking for. There is a small charge of £5 (including vat) to cover costs, which will include tea, coffee and homemade biscuits to beat that mid-morning energy slump!

We will be joined by Rachel Hayward, recent winner of Micro Business of the Year at our East Midlands FSBAwards. Rachel will offer up some tips for entering awards and how to maximise the PR opportunities entering awards can bring.

Rachel Hayward created Ask the Chameleon following a successful HR career in the voluntary and public sectors. Discovering a talent for words, she has built an award-winning company providing bid, tender and grant writing support and business award submissions for SME's and charitable organisations across the Midlands. Together her clients have won in excess of £4m in funding, as well as prestigious awards including the Queens Award for Voluntary Services, Kings Fund and regional and local chamber, newspapers and membership business awards.

Rachel was one of the #SmallBiz100 in 2018, part of the Small Business Saturday UK campaign, and this year has won #SBS twitter campaign with Theo Paphitis as well as the FSB East Midlands Micro Business of the Year. Rachel is a University of Derby lecturer in the Business School and a trustee of Annabel's Angels, a Derbyshire charity providing financial assistance to people undergoing cancer treatment. Happy to share her battle scars and triumphs, Rachel advocates for strong business champions, using awards and grants to maximise growth and sign a spotlight on our regions exceptional entrepreneurial spirit.

There is limited parking at the venue but there is all day car parking available on Bridge Street for £1.50 for 3-4 hours.
