The Guild of Fine Food: World Cheese Awards 2021

The next World Cheese Awards will be held in Oviedo, Spain, as part of the Asturias Paraíso Natural Internacional Cheese Festival from the 3rd – 6th November 2021.

Originally due to take place in 2020, the event has been rescheduled to ensure that the event takes place in the truly international spirit that it has engendered for over 30 years.

The 33rd edition of the World Cheese competition will form part of the Asturias Paraiso Natural International Cheese Festival 2021, run by the Instituto del Queso, in partnership with the Principality of Asturias and the City Council of Oviedo.

How do the awards work?
Cheeses are sent from around the world to be judged in a single day by carefully assembled teams of technical experts, buyers, retailers and food writers. The Super Jury, representing all four corners of the globe, then debate the final cheeses in front of a live consumer and trade audience, before choosing the World Champion Cheese.
