FAMILY FUN WEEKEND: ALICE IN WONDERLAND

Location: Cromford Mills

Don’t be late…for a very important date! Follow Alice into Wonderland and enjoy a day of adventure. Hurry after the White Rabbit, sit down for a feast at the Mad Hatter’s tea party, play a selection of giant games, and join the Queen of Hearts for a game of croquet…

Easter Chicks and Lambs – Meet Larry the Lamb, cuddle the Easter chicks, and find out more about them from 11am-5pm.

Giant Games – Fun for all the family.

The White Rabbit Trail – Discover where the White Rabbit has hidden the Easter eggs. Find them all and win a prize! £1.

Alice in Wonderland Crafts – Step into Wonderland at this magical workshop. Make your own White Rabbit or Cheshire Cat and a playing card puppet to take home. Drop in anytime between 11am-4pm. £3 per child (accompanying adults free).

Fancy Dress – come dressed as a character from Alice in Wonderland and enter the free prize draw!

The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party – A special themed menu in Arkwright’s Café with plenty of treats including jam tarts, gingerbread timepieces, rice krispie cards, Bakewell tarts, Drink Me smoothie potions, and Eat Me mini Victoria sponge cakes, mini French fancies and mini lemon drizzle cakes.

Location: Cromford Mills

FREE ENTRY (there is a small charge for some activities)

Step into a fairy tale kingdom and meet knights, princesses and dragons. A day of magical fun for all the family to enjoy with animals, games, stories and crafts.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Trail – Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs are playing hide and seek but she can’t find them anywhere! Can you help Snow White to find her friends and tell her where they are hiding. Find them all and win a prize! £1

Knights, Dragons and Other Games – A variety of games to play that are fun for all the family.

Fairytale Fancy Dress ­ - Come dressed as a character from a fairy tale and enter the free prize draw!

Alpacas – Meet the alpacas and discover more about these fascinating animals.

Owls – Find out about and meet the Barn Owls, the White Faced Scops Owl, the Great Grey Owl and all their fluffy friends. Why not hold an owl for just £2?

Once Upon a Time Craft Workshop – Enter the fairy tale at this enchanting workshop. Make your own fairy or elf door and a fairy or knight puppet to take home. Drop in anytime between 11am-4pm. £3 per child (accompanying adults free).

Fairytale Food Plenty of fairy tale treats to choose from in Arkwright’s Café including butterfly cakes, fairy cakes, strawberry cupcakes, and edible wands.

Once Upon A Time at the Canal – Literacy crafts and stalls, storytelling for children including a signing workshop from Tiny Talk, and guided storytelling walks around the wharf.
