Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust Carsington Water Walk – Sunday 8th May 2016

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust supports, empowers and inspires young people aged between 8 to 24 who are in recovery from cancer, through sailing. Through our sailing trips we provide the opportunity to try something new and exciting with others who have experienced a similar journey, to rebuild self confidence which is vital to their long term recovery and full engagement with future life.

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust are organising a fundraising walk around the Carsington Water Reservoir. As Ellen MacArthur grew up in a small town called Whatstandwell, 20 minutes from Carsington, this is the perfect location to hold an event like this.

Event Date: Sunday 8th May 2016
Event Time: 11am (please arrive early for registration)
Route: An 8.5 miles route along the stunning views of the reservoir and surrounding countryside. There is also a shorter 1 mile route that is suitable for wheelchairs, pushchairs and younger children.
Entry Fee: £5 for adults and £2 for children. Each participant will receive a free t-shirt to wear on the day and to keep as a souvenir.
