Donate to the Dronfield Rotary Walk

With us now enjoying warmer weather and lighter evenings, now is as good a time as any to get outdoors and explore Dronfield’s many walking routes, including the Dronfield Rotary Walk - which is maintained by a team of volunteers at the Barn.

Walk Wardens are maintaining the route throughout the coronavirus period: they are classed as doing essential maintenance of a local outdoor asset. Bigger jobs have been taken on by our own Work Party. In February they completed a superb flight of steps near Sicklebrook Farm (photos below), a particularly hazardous section of the whole 15 miles. Well done to our wardens and work party!

If you fancy exploring the route as part of your daily exercise, don't forget that you can purchase the indispensable walk guide from our website by heading to our shop page on the website. You can also make a donation to the maintenance of the walk by clicking here. Money raised is used to repair any damage, clear blockages, and address problem areas.

We'd ask all walkers to please respect your environment and local farmers - the walk is entirely on public Rights of Way over pastureland and farmland. Take nothing but photos, leave nothing but footprints! Spotted something on your walk? Why not send us a photo?

So have a great walk, but remember to observe the two-metre rule, and try to avoid touching posts and stiles unless you are wearing gloves.
