Derbyshire Literature Festival tickets go on sale from March 30th

Derbyshire Literature Festival takes place from 8th to 17th May 2015 – one of our main Made in Derbyshire celebration events in 2015. It’s a packed 10 days with over 50 events taking place across the county in libraries, heritage venues and community centres. 

This year’s line-up includes writers Matt Haig, Kate Williams, Richard Benson, Sathnam Sanghera, Angela Buckley, Cath Staincliffe, Robert Shore, Jules Howard and Jill Dawson.

As part of Made in Derbyshire celebrations the Festival features: Dennis Skinner MP; Derbyshire Poet Laureate Helen Mort; Christine Robinson, housekeeper at Chatsworth; up and coming writers – Tracy Bloom, Emma Bamford and Joanna Courtney; folk group Mills & Chimneys; and a performance of The Lunar Men.  

For families and children there are craft activities and events with Jonathan Emmett, Kerstin Morrison, Abi Burlingham, poet Mark Gwynne Jones and storyteller Gordon MacLellan.
