MELANIE HARROLD
As Joanna Carlin, Melanie began singing in folk clubs during the 1970's before moving into musical theatre and television. Her first album, Fancy That, followed, along with tours with Don McClean and Loudon Wainwright III. She duetted with Nina Simone and sang with Barbara Dickson on Gerry Rafferty's City To City.
The 1990's found Melanie in the Hank Wangford Band under the name of Irma Cetas, the Vera Lynn of the North Sea Oilfields. In her early forties, Melanie stopped touring and trained as a Voice Movement Therapist, and now travels the world teaching and holding workshops. In London, she leads two choirs, Trade Winds and Vocal Chords.

JULIE MATTHEWS
Julie Matthews has been described as 'awesomely talented' and a dynamic performer. Apart from a stunning voice, Julie plays piano, guitar, mandolin, bazouki, accordian and harmonica. Julie began singing in pubs, wine bars and piano bars, perfecting her performance skills by night and learning her songwriting craft during the day. In the 1990's Julie joined forces with fellow Albion Band member Chris While in a highly successful duo.

MIRANDA SYKES
In 1996, Miranda began her career playing bass for a country-rock band. Two years later, she made the 300 mile round trip from Lincon to Reading to audition for Pressgang. Miranda got the job and spent the next two years touring internationally. After several years of what Miranda calls 'musical promiscuity', she joined Show Of Hands in 2004 and is still with the band. When not touring with Show Of Hands, Miranda performs solo dates. During lockdown, she recorded her latest album, The Farm House Sessions.

CHRIS WHILE
From the age of fourteen, Chris has been a performer, initially around the folk clubs of Barrow In Furness before spending fifteen years working as a duo with her husband, Joe While. In1991, armed with a phalanx of new songs, Chris went solo, recording three albums Still On Fire (1991), By Request (1992) Look At Me Now (1993). Chris has appeared on over eighty albums. In 1993 she joined the Albion Band as lead singer and in 1997 left to form a duo with Julie Matthews. They have been nominated ten times at the BBC Folk Awards, winning Best Duo in 2009.

HELEN WATSON
As a singer, songwriter and producer, Helen's music crosses the boundaries of blues, jazz, soul and folk. Helen began performing on the thriving folk club circuit of the late sixties before joining blues band 'Loose Lips' and, subsequently, Manchester's Well Knit Frames. Her first album, Blue Slippers, was recorded in Los Angeles and produced by Glyn Johns, who had produced artists such as The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Faces, The Eagles and Bob Dylan. The musicians recruited included Albert Lee, Bernie Leadon ( The Eagles) and various members of Little Feat.
In 2003, Helen joined Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris on Western Wall: The Tucson Sessions album.
