Celebrate with Buxton Fringe!

Following on from the success of last year’s December party, the Fringe is once again inviting everyone to celebrate the opening of entries to the 2017 Fringe with a festive village carols sing-along.

Taking place on December 3rd at the Green Man Gallery, the Derbyshire Village Carol event will begin with a 2pm to 4pm workshop led by Kaleidoscope Choir’s Carol Bowns in which potential carol singers can learn the traditional Derbyshire village tunes. The workshop will be followed by a party and sing-along from 6.30pm with light refreshments available throughout the evening. The whole event is free and everyone is welcome. Those unable to attend the afternoon session can still join the party and singing is optional! The carol singing event marks the opening of entries for the Fringe for 2017 on December 1st. Following tweaks to the online process, it is easier than ever to enter, for example events which are on every day no longer need to enter the same details multiple times.

As ever the Fringe is always on hand to answer any queries regarding venues, general advice or technical queries with contact links plus comprehensive information for entrants available on www.buxtonfringe.org.uk Keith Savage, Chair of the Buxton Festival Fringe states: “The singing of Derbyshire Village Carols is an event where the whole community joins together to celebrate, so it is the perfect way to launch the opening of entries for the 2017 Fringe. We hope the whole of Buxton will come along to learn these fantastic traditional carols.” All are welcome. Potential singers, musicians and listeners who would like to attend are encouraged to RSVP to info@buxtonfringe.org.uk
