Derby Concert Band’s next concert is on Saturday 13 July 2019 at 7.30pm at Landau Forte College, Fox Street, Derby DE1 2LF. This will be a particularly special concert with guest soloist, trumpet and cornet virtuoso, Roger Webster

 

BIGGEST EVER BAT LAUNCH!

BAT2019: the Buxton Biennale, the fifth Buxton Art Trail is the biggest yet! The hugely popular Buxton Art Trail will return during the first weekend of Fringe40 on Saturday July 6 and Sunday July 7. BAT is all set to celebrate Buxton Fringe’s 40th year with a trail of art and wonderment across the town.

 

MOONSTRUCK!

Buxton-based composer Paul Cromford is flying audiences to the Moon for the town's Festival Fringe … not once but four times. His new show, 'The Ancient Pull', described as a 'Moonstruck song-cycle', will be performed at the Lee Wood Hotel, Buxton on 15th, 17th, 21stand 23rdJuly, 8:00 to 10:00 pm.

The work of the late Derbyshire Wildlife Artist Pollyanna Pickering will be celebrated in an exhibition to be staged in her private gallery at Brookvale House Oaker Matlock Derbyshire DE4 2JJ (AA Signposted) from 22nd – 30th June.

Local charity Safe and Sound has unveiled innovative plans to expand its work that supports and protects children and young people from the devastating damage that sexual exploitation has on their lives.

Safe and Sound, established since 2002, is the only local charity focused on transforming the lives of children and young people who are victims of or at risk of Child Sexual Exploitation, commonly referred to as CSE.
