Horticulture staff and students at Derby College have teamed up with The Multiple Sclerosis Society, Derby and District Branch to create a unique plant border that will be exhibited and judged at BBC Gardeners’ World Live 2016 at Birmingham’s NEC next week (June 16 – 19).

First Art is seeking a Creative Producer to support the delivery of the First Art programme delivered across North Derbyshire and North Nottinghamshire.
Based at Junction Arts (Derbyshire), you will support the creative team in delivering a series of place based audience development activities that link to our annual showcase festival. You will also support the development of the First Art ‘Broadcast Channel’ (an online platform that will showcase local events and talent including a series of live web streams).

Creative Arts students at Derby College’s Joseph Wright Campus will exhibit the work they have completed over the past year in a public end of year exhibition.
The students will be joined by family and friends for a private view on Tuesday June 14 when there will also be performances by Music and Performing Arts students. This summer over 70 independent retailers on the streets of Glossop, Hadfield and Charlesworth will take part in Art in the Window 2016 Glossopdale; literally providing a shop window for artists and artisan makers in the Glossopdale area.
This year’s event is run by Glossop Arts Project and the Art in the Window team with sponsorship from Glossopdale Trust and High peak Borough Council and Buy Art Fare. The exhibition event will take place from 1st – 31st August 2016.

epm:technology are part of the Derby College Employer Academy programme – providing level three Engineering students with masterclasses, workplace visits and work experience that culminate in a guaranteed interview for an apprenticeship at the end of the programme.
The registered charity, Concertina which makes grants of up to £250 to charitable bodies which provide musical entertainment and related activities for the elderly has announced that the next deadline for applications is the 31st October 2016. The charity is particular keen to support smaller organisations which might otherwise find it difficult to gain funding.
The next deadline for applying to the Creative England Production Fund is the 8th July 2016. The fund supports the production of feature films of all genres (including documentaries). Priority will be given to projects from regionally-based directors- both first/second time feature directors and more established directors looking to experiment with new approaches.
