Calling All Designer-Makers from the East Midlands Region!

The Hub cordially invite you to propose work for sale in their Christmas selling show, Crafted: East Midlands, the first to be taking place in their brand-new Ground Floor Gallery at their beautifully refurbished building.

The show will be running at the Hub from 4th December 2021 to 9th January 2022; a peak time of year for sales. You must be based within the East-Midlands to apply.

Deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 13th August.

Call out for submissions to the Wirksworth Festival online art prize

The Wirksworth Festival Online Art Prize is your chance to reach a wide audience for your work, sell to the Festival’s online visitors and be in with the chance of winning one of six prizes. The winner will also be invited to exhibit for free at next year’s Art & Architecture Trail.

The deadline for all entries is 10pm on Monday 9 August.

Spread the word – Beer, laughs and thrills at Derby Market Place

Stand-up comedy and an evening of thrilling travelling tales from a climber are just some of the many events in store for audiences at the new Derby Loves You temporary venue at Derby Market Place.

Comedian Mike McClean and traveller Andy Kirkpatrick are on the bill for October & November, adding to the eclectic range of entertainment on offer throughout the summer and into the autumn, which includes Jazz, Classical and Folk music, theatre, markets, festivals, comedy, and quizzes.

Artcore Exhibition Launch - Present Tense Future Perfect?

You are invited to the launch of Present Tense Future Perfect? An exhibition featuring the work of two of our brilliant artists in residence: Thomas Wynne and Kelly O'Brien.

In October 2020, Kelly O'Brien and Thomas Wynne undertook an artist residency with Artcore for a duration of two months titled Present Tense Future Perfect? Through this residency, we wanted to give the artists an opportunity to make new work dealing with the tensions caused by current uncertainties, whilst looking forward to a brighter future.

Last Call! Top prizes up-for-grabs in new talent show contest

Talented residents from across north Derbyshire are invited to show us their skills to help raise money for charity and bag themselves a top prize!

North Derbyshire's Got Talent has been organised by North East Derbyshire District Council, to raise money and awareness for our Chair's Appeal for Ashgate Hospicecare.

As well as helping the charity, all those who enter will be in with the chance of winning a £250 cash prize, trophy and the chance to perform at a Chesterfield Football Club match day!
