The new co-production between Derby LIVE and Lost Boys, Ball, by Brian Lobel and featuring Paul Broesmith, will be performed at Derby’s Guildhall Theatre Clubrooms this November. The play promises to provide cancer with a much deserved kick in the ball(s) and the company plan on kicking off the show by raising funds for Stand Up To Cancer over the coming weeks.
'Colour and Form' is our new exhibition which opens this Saturday, 7 October, at 11.00. It would be great if you can make it for wine and refreshments and some inspirational new work. If you can't make Saturday, the exhibition runs until 5 November and we're open every day except Monday.
We asked the artist Val Hudson to curate the show and she has chosen many artists who we are showing for the first time. There are several artists local to Derbyshire and others much further afield.

Buxton’s heyday in the Edwardian era was a prime example of how Britain’s Age of Decadence changed our country, controversial author and newspaper columnist Simon Heffer will demonstrate at the town’s International Festival Book Weekend in November.
Simon, famous for his political commentary in the Daily Telegraph and Daily Mail, has lifted the lid on the poverty and suffering during the period before the First World War which is usually remembered as a time when Britain was a powerful, contented, orderly and thriving country.
Preparations are well under way for the sixth Belper Arts Festival. It will run from 6 to 28 May 2018.
Already confirmed is the fast growing Arts Trail ( 6 / 7 May), the Music Festival at St. Peter's (13 -19 May), the enchanting Woollen Woods (12 – 19 May) and Belper Open Houses (26 – 28 May)

After a three year break the hugely successful Belper Passion play returns to the streets and churches of the town in 2018. The performance will see a move to a traditional setting with Roman soldiers and costumes of the period. With a new director, Jannice Richtof, and a new script by George Gunby, the performance is being produced by Churches Together in Belper.
The event will include The Walk Of Witness which has attracted up to 800 people in the past.
Join us for our first Artisan Market at Dronfield Hall Barn, featuring a variety of locally made crafts and products for sale. With the festive season just around the corner, this is a fantastic opportunity to get started on the Christmas shopping! There will be stalls in the Barn gallery courtyard and exhibition room with everything available from jewellery to stained glass to children's clothing!
