MODERN WORKS opens Saturday

This is just a final reminder that our show MODERN WORKS opens tomorrow with the work of five artists exhibiting contemporary abstract paintings. Enjoy a glass of wine and some outstanding paintings from 11.00. We're also open on Sunday from 11.00 until 4.00

 

Reflected Silence - Exhibition Opening

You're warmly invited to the opening of our forthcoming exhibition on 16th March from 4pm - 6.30pm. 'Reflected Silence' continues throughout April and exhibits the work of fine Artist Louise Mc Clary. Louise will be at the gallery for the opening of the show.

Serviced office space available in former chapel in Derby city centre

Déda is pleased to offer an impressive serviced office space, available to rent in its beautiful building on Derby’s Chapel Street (DE1) from April 2019.

The rent is inclusive of heating and electricity, use of a full-time reception desk, water rates, refuse collection, external window cleaning, cleaning of communal areas, internal and external maintenance, CCTV system plus a security alarm which is monitored by the police.

Be part of Red Saunders' Hidden Project

A founder member of the Rock Against Racism movement in the 1970s, Red Saunders is a professional photographer who combines his photographic practice with cultural, artistic, musical, and political activism.

Choosing Derby as the location for his latest Hidden Project, Red will be casting hundreds of people from across the region to be characters in three giant photographic tableaux, featuring historic scenes of innovation and disruption from Derbyshire’s past. 

New Commission Helps Bring STEM Subject To Life

A special commission by award-winning composer Josephine Stephenson will premiere at a concert at Derby Theatre on March 12 featuring regional orchestra Sinfonia Viva and city students.

Sinfonia Viva has been working with young people on a creative project entitled ‘AlgoRhythms’  in partnership with Rolls-Royce plc and Derbyshire Music Education Hub designed to bring STEM subjects to life through music (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths).
