Shared Reading groups bring people together through great literature to talk, laugh and share.

Enjoy listening to a story or poem – no pressure to talk or read. Each session will be facilitated by a trained volunteer Reader Leader

Our Memories to Memoir online course is perfect for those looking to start documenting their life through written stories. Your life matters, it means something; you have a story to tell. It’s time to bring it to the page. A three-week course delivered online via Zoom, more details and a course outline is available on our website. 

QUAD invites you to create a digital self-portrait from home. This is for any artist, of any age, anywhere. Perhaps you will make a collage and photograph it; you may make a play-dough sculpture and capture it in an image; maybe you’ll transform a room in your house into a photography studio, or you might develop your design skills by creating a digital collage.

New Mills Community Festival kicks off on 1^st September with an entertaining month-long line up of art, music, drama, talks and family fun!
 
This extraordinary year has meant the festival has had to adapt, so it’ll come as no surprise that many events are being streamed online.  With social distancing in mind, there’ll be some great activities to take part in at home and outdoors too!
 

Indoor track cycling is set to resume at Derby Arena from Monday 14th September for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic, following confirmation today from British Cycling, the sport’s professional body.

British Cycling is working closely with all venues to support a safe return to indoor activity. It will be a phased reopening, with accredited cyclists initially allowed to return. Indoor competition is not yet permitted, but wider participation will be allowed over the coming weeks and months as guidance changes.
