Carsington & Hopton Bonfire and Fireworks Spectacular!

Carsington & Hopton’s local community organisation CARE will once again be putting on the annual fireworks display in Carsington village on Thursday the 5th November.

 

Held on the School Pavilion field in Carsington, the gates will open at 6.15pm and the bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm, topped by the Guy Fawkes from those displayed around the villages of Carsington. The fireworks will be split into two sections, with an initial display for the younger members of the audience, commencing at 7.00pm. The main fireworks display will then commence at 7.30pm with a fantastic show of colour and noise.

 

During the evening food and drink will be available and the children of Carsington & Hopton School will entertain the crowds with a song and their new themed lantern display.

 

Tickets are available in advance from the Miners Arms pub in Carsington or Carsington Sports & Leisure at Carsington Water priced at £4 for adults, £2 for children under 16 and £10 for a family (2 adults and 2 children). Prices on the night at the gate will be £5 for adults, £3 for children under 16 and £12 for a family. Under 4’s are free.

 

The spectators’ area is on the Pavilion Field in Carsington village, with stewards available to guide people the way from The Miners Arms pub. Parking will be marked and spectators are advised to bring a torch to make their way to the Field.
