Calling all musicians in Years 12 & 13
Do you want the chance for your music to earn you £400?
Then you might want to know that on Saturday 7th. April 2018 a music competition will be held at The Strutts Centre, in Belper.
There will be a prize of £400 for the winning student, a prize of £150 for the student in second place, and a third prize of £75.
The competition is sponsored by the Dalesmen Male Voice Choir.
Competition details
The award is open for competition to all students resident and/ or educated in Derbyshire who are in year 12 or 13 and it is expected that applicants will be at the standard of Grade 7 or above on their chosen instrument.
Applicants will be expected to perform either two or three items on their chosen instrument/voice in front of a panel of adjudicators.
Please note:
• You may only enter on one instrument / voice but if you are a vocalist you may accompany yourself on an instrument or sound system
• You can provide your own accompanist but our M.D. is happy to fill that role for you if needed
• Total performance time is 15 minutes
