Pete Castle has been a professional storyteller and folk singer for well over 30 years. He has worked all over the UK and occasionally abroad. The core of his work is the English tradition and he has a selection of material (songs and stories) from Derbyshire. He works with all kinds of audiences in all kinds of venues - folk and story clubs, festivals of all kinds, village halls, schools, libraries... you name it.
Pete is also the author of Derbyshire Folk Tales published by The History Press (and Nottinghamshire Folk Tales if he dare mention that here!) and a 3rd book of Animal Folk Tales from the British Isles is due soon.
Pete enjoys giving talks on all kinds of folklore/music subjects to groups and organisations. He can usually tailor something to suit your interests.
