Liz Tatam has a canalside pottery studio in Ambergate from where she throws, glazes and fires her pots. Liz trained in Cambridge under John Slade. Her stoneware pots are almost all functional – even the calligraphic wall plaques can be used as serving dishes. She prefers the ‘natural’ look, making the glazes herself, sometimes using ash from garden bonfires. An open studio weekend 'Pots & Pix' is held annually in November. At other times the pottery may be visited by arrangement.
