MEMBER: Jelly Roles

Jelly Roles is a Derbyshire-devised arts company delivering drama and dance sessions - designed for pre-schoolers who are confident walkers up to 7. The sessions have been devised by a primary school teacher and are all story-focused.
In a Jelly Roles pre-school drama through storytelling class children tell stories through an interactive mix of role-play, drama games, music and rhymes, props and a little bit of magic. Jelly Roles Jnrs is an extension of this premise and ideally structured for Reception and KS1 aged children. Here children take responsibility for the story and characters - and activities can help and support early literacy.
Jelly Wobbles dancing stories uses the children's own imagination and physical skills to tell well-known stories. It is an energetic mix of movement, dance, music and rhymes for pre-schoolers, with the children leading the way through improvisation rather than copying the steps of the adults.
Classes run at Fleet Arts Centre, Belper Rugby Club, South Darley Village Hall, Matlock as well as other venues around Derbyshire.
