The Charles Edward Stuart Society promotes Derby's Jacobite heritage connection by raising awareness of the role of Derby in the 1745 Jacobite rebellion. This is largely conducted through an annual weekend of historical events and re-enactments. This 'Bonnie Prince Charlie Weekend' is held on the first weekend in December.
