Violence against women and girls is a global problem. It occurs in every country in the world and across all groups and classes, affecting 1 in 3 and 1 in 4 women, respectively worldwide and in the UK, in their lifetime. This illustrated talk examines the violence against the women and some men who dared to demand their right to vote and were subject to 'state sanctioned violence unseen before against women of all social classes.This event is hosted by Deeds not Words Towards Liberation.
