Tissington Craft Fair - Well Dressing Week

Craft Fair
Tissington Craft Fairs are proud to be an independent market specialising in hand crafted and individually designed products.

As a small market, it’s important that each of our 11 stalls offer something truly unique. Our comprehensive application form means that we have enough information to carefully curate each market, giving our customers an individual selection of products to browse and each maker their chance to shine!

Please see the events calendar on our website for a full list of the makers exhibiting at each of our markets.

Held in the picturesque village of Tissington (just 3.5 miles from the popular market town of Ashbourne in the Derbyshire Peak District). The Tissington estate has been privately owned by the FitzHerbert family since the 1460’s and we are proud to hold our markets in a location so steeped in history.

The village is world famous for its Well Dressings, which take place annually. There are 6 working wells in the village, which are dressed with a design created entirely from natural materials, including petals from local flowers, coffee beans and leaves. The dressings are erected on the eve of Ascension Day and remain in place until the following Wednesday evening.

We’re excited to be back at Tissington Village Hall for the first two days of Tissington Well Dressing Week. The village hall is located opposite the duck pond and between the Town Well and the Yew Tree Well.

Only 3.5 miles from Ashbourne on the A515 to Buxton, during the Well Dressing week there is a one way system in operation for vehicles coming into the village. There is a different entrance into the village than usual but this is clearly sign posted on the A515.

There is a small charge for parking in the village and all funds raised go to local charities. Disabled parking is available.

Once in the village on foot, head past Tissington Hall and keep left. When you see the duck pond, turn left and the village hall is on the left hand side.

There is free entry for visitors to all of our craft fairs and your four legged friends are more than welcome too!

Although you will see steps up to the main entrance, alternative access is available for wheelchair users and those with restricted mobility upon request. A disabled toilet and baby changing facilities are also available.

If you are interested in becoming one of our stallholders or would like further details, please e-mail tissingtoncraftfairs@gmail.com.
