Scriptwriting – ‘From page to performance’
What does a writer need to consider to ‘ignite industry interest’? In this workshop Jack and Tina will be looking at the techniques and processes for creating and developing a contemporarily engaging and inspiring script, both for the Theatre and TV. Considering and discussing the different demands for each, and what makes a script that excites and succeeds in the current theatre and TV industry, whilst also connecting with the life experiences and challenges of the contemporary world.
Directing and Performing a Script – ‘Sharing the Vision’
What does a Director look for in a script, and how do they bring it to life? This workshop will be looking at the role of the Director as leader of the creative team, on bringing a playscript to the stage. Considering the skills, creative decisions and plans involved, including casting, set and lighting. Jack and Tina will also be discussing the collaborative relationship between the Director and Writer, and their different roles, in ‘sharing and developing the vision’.
