Concert
A unique and special concert of songs from 3 popular original shows:
Grace -The Lighthouse Girl, the remarkable and moving story of Grace Darling. From the solitude and quietness of a small lighthouse island, an unassuming, hardworking Northumberland lass is catapulted to fame after being involved in a brave rescue at sea. ‘I only did what I could’, she says … but sometimes ordinary people can do extraordinary things. The story of the Lighthouse Girl keeps shining!
The Same Sky a story of love, loss and reconciliation told with movingly beautiful songs against the backdrop of WW1. Set in the Nottinghamshire Coalfields against the backdrop of WW1, Billy, a poor miner, and Eileen, the pit owner’s daughter, are passionately in love. Forced apart by the Great War, will their love survive?
Silver Darling. A tale of a poor fishing community on the Yorkshire coast in the years just before World War Two. Britain is still trying to recover from a huge depression, times are tough, and for everyone. Finding it hard to make ends meet, the villagers struggle to keep their businesses afloat. No fish, no money!
Join the original cast members & 12-piece band for a beautiful evening of songs. “The charm of English folk and acoustic music together with a village brass band”.
