Inspired by dogs: poetry workshop and discussion

Poetry workshop and discussion
Write dog (or other animal-inspired) poems and find out more about putting a poetry collection together. Plus you get a copy of Matt's book!

About this Event
This workshop will help you to write enjoyable and thoughtful poems inspired by dogs (and possibly other animals). Matt Black spent 18 months obsessed with writing about dogs, inspired by the family dog Lola, as well as lots of fascinating recent research into dogs. Drawing ideas from his new collection, “Sniffing lamp-posts by moonlight” (free copies to all workshop attendees), which is all dog poems, Matt Black will bring fun, information and inspiration to the workshop, as well as discussion of how to work towards putting your own poetry collection. Matt Black is a previous Derbyshire Poet Laureate and highly experienced workshop leader.

Please book your place and then email your name and postal address to lovelitderbyshire@hotmail.com by 15th October to enable Matt to post out your copy of his collection 'Inspired by Dogs' prior to the workshop. All guests will receive their copy of the book but it may arrive shortly before or after the workshop if address details are sent later than 15th. If you have any queries please contact Marie Timbrell at lovelitderbyshire@hotmail.com.

This workshop is for adults, booking is essential for this LoveLit workshop as places are limited.
