Business Support Workshop
We invite local small and medium organisations from the D2N2 area (Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire) to get involved with the new Enabling Innovation programme.
Nottingham Trent Universities Food and Drink Innovation hub, as part of Enabling Innovation, invite you to a series of masterclasses set at the Brackenhurst campus.
Join us at the end of June for our second two-day masterclass:
Negotiation and Selling Skills & Exporting
Day 1 – Exporting – 30th June (presented by the Department for International Trade)
- Exporting – Is It For you?: An informal and interactive workshop exploring the benefits and key considerations of international trade and the support and help available to businesses through DIT and other partner organisations - Food and Drink Export landscape – key facts and figures, finding demand using the Export Opportunities portal
- Market Selection and Research - how to choose the right markets for your business and what your market research should cover
- Live link up via skype with DIT overseas network teams eg. Ireland, Belgium, Denmark – overview of the market, what it’s like to do business, opportunities and challenges for British Food and Drink businesses
- Food and Drink International E-commerce/Online presence
Day 2 – Negotiation and Selling Skills – 1st July
- How to present and negotiate a good deal
- Understanding the difference between negotiation and selling
- Key selling skills
- Negotiation success
Following this masterclass, the Food and Drink Innovation team will be hold 2 more on:
31st March – 1st April: Brand Marketing & Category Planning
29th September - 30th September: Innovation & Outsourcing
This event is free to attend, but attendees must register in advance. In order to attend this event you must be eligible for support from the Enabling Innovation Programme, which supports SMEs in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
Enabling Innovation is a three-year collaboration between Nottingham Trent University, the University of Nottingham, and the University of Derby to support SMEs in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire to innovate. It is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
