The Five - the Story of the Ripper’s Women with Hallie Rubenhold

Author talk and Q&A
A talk followed by a Q&A and signing

The Five, social historian Hallie Rubenhold’s newly published book tells the stories of the victims of the murder spree of Jack the Ripper, the most sensational crime of the Victorian Age. Offering new insights and drawing on previously unseen or unpublished material, it’s focus is entirely on the women and not their murderer. This book promises to completely change the narrative of the Ripper Murders. As an investigation into the women’s experiences it traces the surprising triumphs and heart-breaking difficulties they encountered throughout their lives. The Five has been optioned for a drama series by Main Street Pictures. Hallie will talk about the five women’s lives and their untimely and tragic deaths.

This event is suitable for adults.

Hallie Rubenhold is an acclaimed author of history and historical fiction books and a social historian, broadcaster and historical consultant. https://www.hallierubenhold.com/
