ACCESS: The West Shed is located on the Swanwick Junction museum complex of the Midland Railway-Butterley. Normal access to the site is via a heritage train ride from Butterley Station (fare payable), alighting at Swanwick Station to walk up to the West Shed (approx. 430 metres walk including some uneven ground).

Creative family activities available at the West Shed Museum as part of ‘Butterley Brick Week’:
- Make a 'junk model' train.
- Have a go at Springtime themed craft activities.
- Play with our LEGO.
- See our model railway in action.
(Please note: children must be accompanied by an adult).
