CANCELLED -Derbyshire Murders - A Talk by Local Historian David Bell

Please note that this event has been cancelled due to COVID - 19
Join local historian David Bell for an exploration of Derbyshire murders ranging from a 19th century duel to the murder of eloping lovers. The talk will be followed by a question and answer session.

Doors will open at 2.15 pm when complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits will be served and the talk will start at 2.30 pm. Please note this event is suitable for adults.

David Bell was born in Leicestershire in 1939. He was a Primary school teacher from 1960 until 1989, including the headship of a Derbyshire village school. He then escaped from teaching, tunnelling out from beneath an increasingly large mountain of paperwork, to become a full-time writer. He is the author of some twenty-eight books of left-field local history including Derbyshire Tales of Mystery & Murder. Twenty of these books were published by Countryside Books, six by Bradwell Books, and two by Five Leaves Publications. David has an alter ego – Jack Wainer – who writes very dark crime and horror fiction. Unlike David, Jack is best avoided.

Booking essential, book early to avoid disappointment as places are limited.
